Protective Chicken Helps Distressed Student
Recently one of our high school students was having a difficult time in class, became angry and ran out of the school building. Little did she know that a particularly protective hen named Oona saw her leave and immediately set off in pursuit at breakneck speed.
Anywhere the student went, Oona was right behind her. When the student realized she had a pursuer, she ran faster, trying to evade the bird, but Oona stayed on her tail. Eventually, the student stopped and turned to stare at the chicken, who sat down and stared right back.
You'd think the student would have tried to chase the bird away, but she didn't. Instead, she calmed down, picked Oona up and brought her back to the coop. With Oona's help, the student's outburst was shortlived and she was able to quickly return to class.
