Northeast Center for Youth and Families is an organization dedicated to providing quality treatment services to children, adolescents and their families in a variety of treatment settings:

GROUP HOMES

Residential Treatment Programs:

  • 2 Houses, side by side on Grove St. in Northampton, known as “The Grove.” – 16 clients (male & female)
  • Maple St. Residence on Maple St. in Springfield, MA (10 male clients)
  • Macomber on Macomber Ave. in Springfield, MA -7 Latency age (male & female clients)
  • Grayson on Grayson Ave in Springfield, MA – 8 female clients
  • Storrs in Storrs Ct. – 5 clients (male)
  • Tri-County School – East St. Easthampton, MA
  • Foster Care – 110 homes statewide
  • After School Program – on the campus of Springfield College in the Pueblo building
  • Family Support Services and Medical/Clinical Support Services are provided at the administrative offices in Easthampton
  • A residential home on Grayson Ave. in Springfield
  • Three homes in Connecticut

WHAT’S OUR SIZE?

  • Our Annual Budget is nearly $20 million dollars
  • We have about 300 employees and 110 foster homes statewide
  • We serve 46 clients and their families residentially in MA and CT
  • Our School can serve between 115 & 120 students
  • On average, 140 kids/day are in our Foster care Program
  • Our After School Program serves up to 30 kids per week
  • Our Family Support Services serves 60 families at any given time

HOW ARE WE FUNDED?

    By Contract:

  • Contracts with the Department of Mental Health(DMH) support large portions of the Grove, Maple St., Macomber, and Grayson Residential Treatment Programs
  • Contracts with the Department of Mental Health(DMH) also support portions of our After School and Foster Care Programs.
  • A contract with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families(DCF) supports the Storrs group home
  • Several contracts with the Department of Youth Services(DYS) support our Foster Care Program
  • A contract with the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Parnership(MBHP) supports a large part of our Family Stabilization and Support Service
  • No Contract:

  • Rate Agreements with The Department of Social Services (DSS) support a large part of our foster care program, our After School Program and some of the non-contracted residential beds.
  • LRate Agreements with the the Department of Children and Families(DCF) support our foster care and residential treatment programs
  • A rate approved by the Department of Education(DOE), paid for by the responsible Local Education Authority) supports our School.
  • We bill for some of our clinical/medical and Psychiatric services through an affiliation we have with ServiceNet, a local community mental health organization.
